New York Foster Youth Funders Group is a peer network of grantmakers who are funding or interested in the area of foster youth in New York. The purpose of the group is to keep our hand on the pulse of salient issues and initiatives impacting foster youth in New York, as well as share our own funding priorities.
Philanthropy New York members funding or interested in the area of foster youth in New York are invited to join the group's spring meeting.
Agenda
Nationally and locally, there have been conversations and some initiatives focused on boys and men of color and more recently strategic development around girls of color. Since young people in the foster care system are disproportionately represented by people of color, we thought it would be important to learn about some of the work happening on a national level as well as in New York.
We invite you to learn more about this work and explore whether there is a role for us in systems change that might impact foster youth of color.
