Nonprofits have retained a strong presence in New York City; yet, to date, this industry has not been seen as an economic driver, despite its strong ties to NYC’s financial center and other vibrant industries.
On this panel, NYC nonprofit leaders will describe the economic impact their organizations have made and their vision going forward. The audience will hear from NYC’s economic planning leaders, who will share their view on the future beneficial impact this industry will have.

  • The economic impact the organizations on the panel have had on the city
  • How social entrepreneurs act as business entrepreneurs in the nonprofit industry
  • Industry leaders' thoughts on the essential role of nonprofits in job creation
