A number of impact investors are active in New York making non-traditional loans to nonprofits that would be unavailable from conventional banks. These investors include foundations as well as philanthropically supported intermediaries, some of which specialize in particular fields while others are active more broadly.
SeaChange Capital Partners, Altman Foundation, and Philanthropy New York believe it would be worthwhile to gather this universe of investors to share investment approaches and operational practices, to foster referrals, and to facilitate co-investment.
