Hurricane Dorian slammed into the northern Bahamas as a powerful Category 5 hurricane, with winds in excess of 185 mph and a storm surge of 18-23 feet. Dorian then stalled and subjected the Bahamas to its hurricane force winds for more than 48 hours, causing extreme devastation.

In part one of our Hurricane Dorian webinars, experts from the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) will discuss what’s happening in the Bahamas after the Category 5 storm and its unprecedented stalling.

CDP launched the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season Recovery Fund in response to the needs that will arise following Hurricane Dorian and other storms that may hit throughout the Atlantic hurricane season. Details about the fund will be provided during the webinar.
