Are you new to capacity building and want to learn more about what it is and how you might integrate it into your grant making? Do you have experience with capacity building, but want to approach it with fresh eyes?

Join New York Grantmakers in the Arts for this interactive session led by a team of arts funders who will bring creativity into how we think about and approach capacity building.

The session will delve into two arts organization case studies. Through interactive exploration, funders will consider creative solutions for building individual organizational capacity, as well as how they can collaborate to address systems issues that impact a field. While arts-focused, many themes discussed will cut across organizational and field types.

We hope you’ll join us.

Explore
  • Nuts and bolts of capacity building - what it is, when to support it, and how to do it (who does what, how to get started)
  • Alternative strategies for approaching capacity building – that build from funder and grantee strengths
