The Foundation Administrators Network (FAN) brings together HR and operations professionals to share knowledge and resources, to test complex ideas with peers about administrative issues related to managing a foundation, and to strengthen professional skills and expertise.
Responding to member interest, our next meeting will focus on PEOs – Professional Employment Organizations. This topic has come up several times and we want to dedicate time to learning more about PEOs and hearing how peer HR professionals have evaluated this option for their organizations.
Please join us if you are curious to learn more about PEOs, are or have explored this as an option, or participate in a PEO and are open to sharing your experiences.

- What is a PEO and how does it work?
- What are advantages and disadvantages of joining a PEO?
- How have peer organizations approached this decision making process?
- What lessons learned can we share about evaluating the PEO option?
Barbara Palombo, Certified Business Performance Advisor at Insperity, will join us for the first half of the meeting to explain what PEOs are and how they work. We will then have a closed peer session to share our experiences and learn from one another.
If you have specific questions about PEOs you would like answered, please email register@philanthropynewyork.org, noting “12/4 FAN Meeting questions” in the subject line.
Reminder: As always, creating a confidential space at network meetings is very important. Please do not share specific details from the meetings with individuals outside the network.
