Philanthropy New York welcomes the new local group for communications professionals in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors: ComNetworkNY! PNY has long supported its own local affinity group for communications professionals, Public Policy Communicators NYC, and we look forward to working with ComNetworkNY to develop substantial communications programming in the coming year.

If you’re interested in meeting other communications professionals, learning about great work in the social sector, and having a good time, join us as we kick off ComNetworkNY!

In addition to getting to know each other better and spending an early summer evening together, one goal for this kick-off event for ComNetworkNY is to brainstorm about future programming: What topics should we cover? Which speakers might be of interest? How often should we aim to meet?

We'll also hear from Alfred Ironside, chair of The Communications Network board and VP for Global Communications at the Ford Foundation, to get things started.

Designed for

Anyone working in communications at a New York nonprofit organization or foundation, or in a professional firm/private consulting practice that focuses on communications in the social sector.
