*This PNY-co-sponsored program is hosted by our partner, Community Food Funders (CFF), who has extended an invitation to PNY members. Space is limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis.*

This year, Community Food Funders is excited to be hosting our 6th Annual Gathering! Please join us to celebrate accomplishments from the past year and hear from your colleagues about different strategies being used to impact our regional food system. As part of the evening, we will spotlight the recipient of the 2018 Community Food Funders Champions Award, East New York Farms!

Whether your focus is on nutrition or hunger, food chain workers or farmland preservation, emergency food or food waste, we all have a part to play in creating the just food system that everyone deserves. We encourage your attendance whether you're a long-time CFF member or just entering the field of food systems change.

Join us at the CFF Annual Gathering for an evening of locally sourced food and drink, networking, and updates from the field.

In a departure from past keynotes, this year's featured presentation will be a panel discussion. Local activists from Puerto Rico and their allies will discuss Puerto Rico's food system both pre- and post-Maria, and what lessons can be drawn for our food system in the northeast. We'll hear from frontline activists about community-led responses to the hurricane, and what is needed for the island to begin working towards food sovereignty.

We are thrilled to be working with Gabriela Álvarez, founder of Liberation Cuisine to cater the event and help assemble the panelists.
