A portrait of Alexander Hamilton by John Trumbull, the celebrated Revolutionary War-era painter, has been given by its owner, Credit Suisse, to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Arkansas in a 50-50 partnership.
