ASPCA-Backed Program Uses Dogs to Help Teach NYC Students About Animal Welfare
Some cuddly canines are helping teach New York City school students serious lessons about animal welfare.
Every week, several specially-trained dogs meet with a group of middle schoolers in a Washington Heights classroom.
Belly-rubs and ear-scratches are encouraged. But this is more than puppy therapy.
