A recent scan of the actual investments made by federal agencies and national foundations in child welfare research reveals some important research gaps and funding opportunities with respect to DEI and child maltreatment prevention work. As part of the National Research Agenda Project, we have been learning a lot about how to improve the involvement of people with lived expertise and how research could be designed and carried out more equitably and effectively.
Join this session to learn about opportunities to leverage national, state, city and foundation funding… and practical ways to improve how research is designed and funded. See what components can be easily added to a Request for Proposal so that RFPs help reinforce and pay for key components.
