The Charles H. Revson Foundation Announces $2.5 Million in Grants to Eight Recipients
Grants were distributed within the Program Areas of “Education,” “Jewish Life,” and “Urban Affairs.”
The Education Program seeks to expand access to knowledge and support resources capable of sustaining an informed citizenry. This grant cycle, the program provided funding to allow children around New York City to easily access exhibits from the Brooklyn Children’s Museum in public library branches.
The Jewish Life Program works to improve social and economic outcomes for communities in Israel and North America by building capacity in under-resourced fields, like civic service and urban planning in Israel and Jewish chaplaincy in North America. This cycle, the Program supported initiatives that advance affordable housing in Israel, particularly in the Arab sector.
Finally, the Urban Affairs Program partners with civic and cultural institutions, local government, and independent nonprofits to strengthen New York City’s communities and civic spaces. In pursuit of these goals, the program provided grants to increase access to supportive housing, high-quality community media, parks and public spaces, and democratic participation.
