Pennsylvania College Consortium Created With $800,000 From Mellon Foundation
Ten liberal arts colleges in Pennsylvania will use an $800,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for a new consortium designed to help them save money and improve academic programs by collaborating across campuses.
The 10 members of the Pennsylvania Consortium for the Liberal Arts are Bryn Mawr, Dickinson, Franklin & Marshall, Gettysburg, Haverford, Juniata, Muhlenberg, Swarthmore, Ursinus, and Washington & Jefferson Colleges. The group is being supported by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
The consortium also plans to contribute in important ways to national discussions about improving access to higher education and improving affordability for families....
