New Online Tool Created With Support from OSF Helps Immigrants Make a Plan
The Immigration Advocates Network has a new online tool to help people who are worried about aggressive immigration enforcement actions. "Make a Plan," on immi.org provides basic information to help individuals and families prepare for potential detention or deportation.
Make a Plan is available in English and Spanish at www.immi.org/
"We created Make a Plan to give people peace of mind," said Pat Malone, Associate Director at Immigration Advocates Network (IAN). "We all hope we never need our emergency plans, but it's important to be prepared."
Make a Plan is the newest addition to immi.org, a plain language website that helps people understand legal rights in the U.S. and paths to legal immigration status. Immi features "know your rights" articles, a quiz to identify options for legal status, and a searchable directory of over 1,000 nonprofits providing immigration legal assistance.
