The John A. Hartford Foundation has announced grants totaling $2.275 million in the areas of palliative care and aging-related philanthropy.
The foundation awarded $2 million over five years to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in support of the Center to Advance Palliative Care and the implementation of a transformative business plan for the center that will further expand the availability of palliative care. To that end, foundation staff will work with CAPC to find other funders willing to contribute toward the fundraising target outlined in the plan as CAPC transitions to a largely self-sustaining, revenue-generating membership model….
