Chancellor Fariña, a long-time educator in New York City’s public schools, has served under many chancellors. When appointed chancellor herself in late December 2013, she said her focus would be collaboration, communication and restoring “joy” in the classroom. Since taking office, she’s identified middle schools, professional development — including around the Common Core — and engaging parents and families as welcome partners as Department of Education (DoE) priorities.
Please come join Chancellor Fariña and her team in a discussion that will illuminate DoE’s engagement with the six EdFunder Priorities, lay out plans to implement those and other priorities, and highlight new opportunities for collaboration with funders — and Chancellor Fariña and her team will welcome your ideas and questions!
