N.Y. Pol Moves to Ban Pharmacies From Supplying Strong Pain Killers at Drive-Through Windows
A state lawmaker wants to stop pharmacies from dispensing high-powered pain killers at drive-through windows.
Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal (D-Manhattan) introduced legislation this week that would only allow pharmacies to dispense controlled substances such as oxycodone or fentanyl inside their stores.
Rosenthal said the bill would ensure that pharmacists are able to discuss with patients how best to use the powerful drugs. . .
