Some NYC K-12 Schools Cross $50,000-a-Year Mark
Five years ago, parents gulped when the price for attending some private K-12 schools in New York City hit $40,000 a year.
Now, a few have crossed the $50,000 threshold.
Some parents say they have become resigned to fast-rising bills at elite schools that regularly place students at Ivy League colleges. But many are concerned that these private schools increasingly are dominated by the city’s most affluent families, even when about one-fifth of their students overall get financial aid. . .
