Wallace Foundation Funds Research to Evaluate Public-Private Model in Buffalo Schools
 
In its three years of offering college scholarships and other services to students in the Buffalo Public Schools, Say Yes has greatly expanded its reach and political influence in the city.
 
Now outside reviewers will evaluate its approach and compare it to similar programs around the country to see if they actually work.
 
The study, backed by the Wallace Foundation and conducted by researchers with Teachers College at Columbia University, is looking at public-private partnerships that aim to bring together resources from government, private and nonprofit organizations to develop programs serving children and their families. . .
