Voices Of Brooklyn Communities Helping Refine Foundation's New Strategy
Brooklyn Community Foundation, which already gets high marks for putting residents' voices at the forefront of its work, is taking that commitment to a new level.
Through Brooklyn Insights, the foundation has been bringing together residents, advocates, entrepreneurs, and leaders together to discuss Brooklyn’s future: the pressing needs of its communities, opportunities for change, and strategies for collective action. As noted on a special Brooklyn Insights website, "These conversations are the groundwork for a new, innovative approach to supporting community-led solutions."
Conclusions drawn from conversations that took place across the borough between January and June will help finalize a new grantmaking strategy expected this September.
