UJA-Federation of NY CEO Gives Tips on Teaching Youth about the Holocaust

Like so many others, I was outraged when pictures emerged last month of partying teens in New Jersey engaging in a shocking beer pong game called “Jews versus Nazis” — shooting ping-pong balls into cups of beer that had been arranged in the shape of a swastika on one side and a Star of David on the other.

On the brighter side, the uproar over these photos proves that Holocaust insensitivity will not be ignored. The Princeton school system, where the teens go to school, has expressed a commitment to work more actively with its student body to prevent future such incidents. They also confirmed that, like most schools, their curriculum already includes Holocaust education...
