UHF is pleased to announce new program details about its upcoming Medicaid conference, which will focus on efforts to move to value-based payment in New York.
- Jason Helgerson, New York State Medicaid director and deputy commissioner for health insurance programs, will present the keynote, an overview of New York’s Value-Based Payment Roadmap as one prong of the State’s delivery system transformation.
- Two panels will take on the operational challenges and opportunities of value-based payment in practice:
- Engaging and Protecting Medicaid Members will feature a discussion on emerging efforts in member engagement and incentives.
- Implementing the Value-Based Payment Roadmap will offer a look at early activities by plans and providers to develop value-based payment arrangements.
- Christopher F. Koller, president of the Milbank Memorial Fund and former health insurance commissioner for Rhode Island, will examine key areas for collaboration between value-based payment stakeholders, including providers, plans, and policymakers.
