Trinity Church Wall Street to Provide Free Legal Workshops for Local Community
Workshops Will Assist Residents Without Legal Representation in Housing Court
WHAT: For the third year, Trinity is partnering with Housing Court Answers to provide free workshops for residents without legal representation in housing court. These free workshops – hosted in the church – will cover topics such as termination hearings, getting repairs, rent regulations, and more. While tenant protections have recently been strengthened by the state, there are still several low-income New Yorkers who face daunting legal issues without an attorney. These workshops aim to educate New Yorkers against potentially predatory legal action and to help them stay in their homes.
