Tisch Education Center at Whitney Museum Profiled in Education Update
In an Education Update article, Joan Baum spotlights the Whitney’s new Laurie M. Tisch Education Center, prominently situated on the third floor of the museum’s new downtown home. Dr. Baum describes the Tisch Center as “the crown jewel in the already well-established gem of the Whitney Education Department” and explains how it has embraced its new location to expand its programming while maintaining an inclusive space.
The Tisch Center strives to create a VIP experience for students with special gallery areas, private visiting hours and free admission. This experience isn’t limited to students, with programs also available to seniors, low-income neighborhood residents, ESL speakers and the LGBT community. . .
