Success Academy Boss Eva Moskowitz and Charter Leaders Demand Answers on Space Requests from de Blasio
The charter school war grinds on.
Success Academy founder Eva Moskowitz and other leaders of city charter schools held a demonstration Wednesday on the steps of City Hall to rip Mayor de Blasio for failing to respond to requests for space in city school buildings.
The school leaders said charter critic de Blasio is stalling on responding to their requests, as he is required to do by law, for space in city school buildings.
The school leaders had given de Blasio a deadline of last Friday for getting back to them on space requests for the school year starting in 2018. Moskowitz and other charter school leaders said they needed a response by then so that families can plan where kids will go to school next year. . .
