Sloan Foundation Aims To Increase Native Americans In Advanced Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Studies
 
Four universities will share $2.4 million from The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation in a three-year, collaboration to increase the number of indigenous Americans obtaining advanced degrees in science, technology, engineering, and math – also known as STEM disciplines.
 
The four participating institution are the University of Alaska, University of Arizona, Montana University System, and Purdue. 
 
The new national network, the Sloan Indigenous Graduate Partnership (SIGP), will strengthen and  expand successful initiatives at each of the four partners to recruit, train, and graduate American Indian and Alaska Native students in STEM disciplines.“ ...
