RPA Announces Ebola Survival Fund
Working in Sierra Leone and Liberia, the fund is responding to the immediate needs resulting from the outbreak, as well as working to strengthen the region’s health-care delivery infrastructure.
Troubled by the U.S. public and media response to the Ebola outbreak, actor Jeffrey Wright established the Ebola Survival Fund with RPA as a way to change the narrative of what the outbreak represents and to provide the public with a way to respond with funding that meets immediate needs and invests in long-term solutions. Wright has stated in recent media appearances that he wants Americans to recognize that while the infection is caused by a virus, the outbreak is the result of the absence of viable health-care delivery systems in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
