Our food system produces more than enough to feed our entire global population of over 7 billion people. Yet at the same time, approximately 815 million people worldwide will go to sleep hungry tonight, without knowing where their next meal will come from. And more than 780 million people in the world are food insecure.
The world can’t sustain a nourishing food system if the world doesn’t eat more of what it has. In that spirit, two years ago the Rockefeller Foundation launched our YieldWise initiative, dedicated to helping cut such post-harvest losses in half.
