The New York Juvenile Justice Initiative—formed at Philanthropy New York to help the philanthropic sector and policymakers reform New York’s often-criticized juvenile justice system—recently supported a small group of juvenile justice-involved young adults as they created their own recommendations on how to improve the system. The results were illuminating—and we are pleased to have Howard Knoll, Senior Director at Casey Family Programs, share them and their larger meaning for foundations.
