PNY Offers Unique Benefits to Family Foundations

A message from PNY Vice President of Member Services, Kristen Ruff

Philanthropy New York is engaging with family foundations by providing unique benefits and learning opportunities. We currently have a partnership with the National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP) to offer increased access to knowledge and resources specific to your style of philanthropy. As a PNY member, your staff and trustees can also tap into NCFP’s online knowledge center and monthly webinar series.

NCFP has recently launched the Trends in Family Philanthropy research initiative and we hope NYC-area funders will participate. The project will give benchmarking data for those who are interested in learning how governance and decision-making practices compare with other family foundations. We urge family foundation members to complete the survey so the findings will be valuable to the field – and to your staff and trustees.

Finally, we want to hear from you. How can Philanthropy New York be more supportive to your staff and trustees? What kind of programs would you like to see us produce? What can we do to help you and your board? Please let me know if you have thoughts or suggestions.
