Since Crain’s last published its biennial list of the women with the most influence, impact and power in New York, women have found their voices and used their elbows to create undeniable change. Women have entered government at unprecedented levels, winning elections but also key appointments. Powerful men have been toppled by credible accusations of sexual harassment and assault, and women have stepped up to replace them. A growing movement to put more women on corporate boards and in the C-suite is bearing fruit.
