Open Society Foundations Tackles the Challenge of Prisoner Reentry
Federal prisons release nearly 50,000 inmates each year. Many quickly get into trouble again and return to custody.
The beleaguered prisoner reentry effort is getting some help from the nonprofit sector.
Today, Project New Opportunity was announced by an organization called the Center for Community Alternatives, with funding from the Open Society Foundations.
