NYC Working With Training Partners To Build Pipeline Of School Principals
 
Support from the Wallace Foundation is helping NYC partner with several organizations to prepare future principals for the city's schools.
 
Among the stipulations of the foundation's grant: a significant number of graduates from the city's revamped principal training programs or its partners must be ready for school assignments by January 2015.
 
According to Jody Spiro, the foundation's director of Education Leadership, the principals will be evaluated using the city’s new online database, which can match administrators with school data, such as teacher-retention rates, attendance, and student test scores....
