The New York Women’s Foundation Announces $3.25 Million in Grants to Address Needs of Women and Families in New York City
The New York Women’s Foundation (NYWF) announced a total of $3,250,000 in grants awarded to 57 organizations across New York City as a part of The Foundation’s Spring 2015 grant cycle.
These grants address a range of issues across The Foundation’s core focus areas of Economic Security, Anti-Violence & Safety, Health, Sexual Rights, and Reproductive Justice. Additionally, they support strategies integral to long-lasting change, including individual transformation, community engagement and mobilization, and systemic change.
Taken together, these grants address a continuum of complex needs faced by women, girls and families living at or below the poverty level. They continue the Foundation’s finest tradition of providing early investment and support for critical work within the city’s diverse communities, while reflecting strong alignment with targeted priorities of The Foundation’s recent strategic planning process, such as increased investment in systemic change and focused partnerships that strategically expand our reach and impact. Building on our history of success and pushing us into areas of strategic growth, these investments continue to strengthen our position as the premier women’s fund in the country.
