The New York Community Trust Grants $4.8 Million to Invest in a Fairer, More Equitable New York
(April 8, 2019) NEW YORK – The New York Community Trust committed $4.8 million to fund 46 projects that address pressing issues such as gun violence, transportation, healthcare, the environment, and poverty.
This latest round of grants demonstrates The Trust’s commitment to funding strategic efforts to improve the lives of New Yorkers across all of the City’s boroughs.
“Many of the challenges New York faces aren’t easy to fix,” says Shawn Morehead, vice president for grants at The Trust. “Addressing issues like climate change and equity in our schools requires long-term investment and a willingness to attack the problem from all angles.”
