Native Americans in Philanthropy #GenIndigenous Response Fund Announces Call for Proposals

Native-led youth organizations responding to current movements through organizing and activism may be eligible to receive grants up to $5,000 from the #GenIndigenous Response Fund.

The fund is targeted specifically towards Native-led organizations playing leadership roles in current movements while considering efforts to support the long-term engagement of Native American youth leaders in advocacy efforts. The grant focuses on strategic communications, education, workforce development, juvenile justice, resiliency, traditional knowledge, sustainability, environmental justice, health, trauma and healing.

The #GenIndigenous Response Fund is housed at The Minneapolis Foundation and will be disbursed on a rolling basis. The proposal deadline for the first round of grants is Monday, January 30th, 2017. Proposals will be reviewed by the Fund Advisory Committee of NAP board and/or staff who will select up to 5 awardees for the first deadline. Grants from the Response Fund should be utilized within 3-6 months of disbursement. The second deadline for grants will be in March of 2017.
