MAC And Benefit Announce Support For Planned Parenthood

MAC and Benefit have long known that beauty is more than skin deep, proving their commitment to crucial causes through their respective global philanthropy programs, MAC VIVA GLAM and The Bold is Beautiful Project. Now both brands are throwing their weight behind Planned Parenthood. “This is not an arranged partnership between our competing beauty brands, but in fact a welcome coincidence,” says John Demsey, Chairman, The MAC AIDS FUND & Executive Group President, The Estée Lauder Companies. “The partnership between Planned Parenthood, MAC and Benefit transcends beyond our brands’ businesses and contributes to the greater goal of supporting healthy futures and rights for women and girls and LGBTQ communities.” Annie Ford Danielson, Chief Beauty Ambassador at Benefit Cosmetics explains, “When Planned Parenthood let us know that MAC would also be supporting the organization this year through its own philanthropy program, we knew immediately we needed to make the announcement together, regardless of the fact that it would be unprecedented for our two competing beauty brands.
