MAC AIDS Fund Survey Shows Kids Don't Know Enough About AIDS
The survey indicated nearly 90 percent of teens between the ages of 12-17 don’t think they’re at risk for getting HIV at some point in their life. One of their board members of the Millennial League organization, Andy Frye, joined the board when he was 18 years old to specifically reach the younger population in Kansas City.
"A lot of kids in my generation they think HIV/AIDS is a dead disease,” he said. “I really try to push to them that it's not, it's still very relevant and they need to get involved..."
