Lincoln Center Partnership To Train and Place Arts Teachers In NYC Schools
An initiative supported by a $1.5 million grant from the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund will help educate, certify and fast-track the placement of music, dance, theater and visual art teachers in up to 120 NYC public schools currently without adequate or any arts programs.
Lincoln Center, CUNY’s Hunter College School of Education, the New York City Department of Education, and the United Federation of Teachers will will partner on the Lincoln Center Scholars Alternative Certification Program.
