JPMorgan Joins Gates Foundation, Drugmakers in Fund

JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have formed The Global Health Investment Fund, which will back late-stage development of technologies to fight diseases including malaria, tuberculosis and HIV, as well as maternal and infant mortality, in low-income countries. Merck & Co. and Pfizer Inc. have also invested in the fund.
