Heintz Named To NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50 List
Stephen Heintz, president of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, has been named as one of this year's Nonprofit Times Power & Influence Top 50.
In commenting on the selection of Heintz as a 2014 honoree, NPT noted he "gets the irony that a foundation endowed from the oil business focuses on efforts to curtail use of fossil fuels. His ideas on civic engagement are just as bold and the foundation is bankrolling new ideas. It’s all about his continued commitment to national-scale public engagement and an evolving theory of change."
Those selected for this year's honors "exemplify" the words Irish philosopher Edmund Burke who wrote, "Justice itself is the great standing policy of civil society, and any eminent departure from it, under any circumstances, lies under the suspicion of being no policy at all."...
