Guggenheim Foundation Announces 2016 Fellows

The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation has announced its 2016 class of fellows. Appointed on the basis of prior achievement and exceptional promise, the successful candidates were selected from a group of nearly three thousand applicants.

One hundred and seventy-five fellowships (including three joint fellowships) were awarded to scholars, artists, and scientists representing fifty disciplines and seventy-one academic institutions; sixty-seven fellows have no academic affiliation or hold an adjunct or part-time position at a university.
