Former VP for Grants at the New York Community Trust and Beloved PNY Member, Joyce Bove, Has Passed Away
Joyce Marie Bove, age 67, of New York City, formerly of Stoneham, MA passed away on August 15, 2018 at the Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center in New York City after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Joyce was born on August 27, 1950 in Medford, MA to the late Frank and Grace Bove.
She leaves her beloved son, Alec Bove of New York City in the care of his loving dads, Richard Feldman and Jon Nathanson. Joyce is survived by her brother Frank Bove and his wife Debbie of Exeter, NH. She is the loving aunt of Stacey Cummings and her husband James of Fairbanks, AK; Michael Bove and his wife Kristen of Reno, NV; and Jack Bove of Exeter, NH. Also survived by her great nieces and nephews, Asher, River, Teagan, and Mekhi, along with her aunts and uncle, Diane Nunn, Donald Nunn, Rose Pelusi, and her many cousins, great-cousins, and great-great cousins.
Joyce was a graduate from Wellesley College and received an MPA from Indiana University. She was the Vice President for grants at the New York Community Trust where she presided over hundreds of millions of dollars to non-profit organizations. She was particularly proud of her work on HIV/AIDS funding and helping the city recover from the 9/11 attacks.
