Ford, JPB, Novo, Carnegie Corporation of NY Listed as Top Funders of Refugee and Migrant Issues 

While foundation funding in support of global human rights initiatives rose to $2.7 billion in 2014, from $2.3 billion in 2013, the share of funding for migrants and refuges remained flat, a report from Foundation Center and the International Human Rights Funders Group finds.

According to the report, Advancing Human Rights: Update on Global Foundation Grantmaking (14 pages, PDF), migrants and refugees as a population group received 11 percent of foundation grants dollars in 2014, unchanged since 2011, while, as an issue area, migration and displacement received 5 percent of foundation grant dollars, down from 6 percent in 2013.
