Ford Foundation Launches Arts in a Changing America With Webcast
The Ford Foundation, along with artists, arts organizations and community leaders, will present a live webcast of the Arts in a Changing America (ArtChangeUS) launch event.
ArtChangeUS is a new national five-year project based at the California Institute of the Arts that fills an urgent need to understand and engage, from an arts perspective, the dramatic demographic transformation of America and address pressing questions about our future: What is the meaning, in cultural terms, of the demographic shift? What is not on the institutional arts sector's radar? How do we learn from different models of arts practice and organizing? And what unheard voices and fresh thinking can be brought, both to arts and cross-sector tables, to catalyze new collaborative possibilities?
The event will be available online Monday, October 26, between 11:00 am - 1:15 pm (EDT) and 3:45 pm - 5:30 pm (EDT). Anyone may tune in to hear from a diverse set of artists and cultural organizers from across the nation as they explore these questions: artsinachangingamerica.org/livestream and follow the conversation on Twitter using #ArtChangeUS.
