Fidelity Charitable, the nation's largest donor-advised fund program, has announced record results through the first three quarters of 2013. Through the end of the third quarter, Fidelity had awarded more than 308,000 grants totaling nearly $1.3 billion — a 20 percent increase in volume and 33 percent increase in dollars over the same period last year. Almost a quarter (23 percent) of the outgoing grant dollars were part of a grant of at least $1 million, while incoming contributions totaled nearly $1.3 billion, a 5 percent increase over the same period in 2012.
