Doris Duke Earmarks $2M to Address Climate Change in Hudson Valley
The non-profit group Scenic Hudson has been working to preserve land for decades, but a new grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation is earmarked for specific kinds of land "that are going to be important in helping the region adapt to climate change," said Scenic Hudson President Ned Sullivan.
Sullivan added that rising temperatures affect the Hudson in many ways.
"We see sea level rising; we see more intense storms," he continued.
