Cuomo Will Visit Virgin Islands to Assess Damage from Irma
Gov. Cuomo will visit the U.S. Virgin Islands on Friday to assess damage from Hurrican Irma because their governor — who is a Brooklyn native and former NYPD cop – asked Cuomo to tour the damage and help with recovery.
Cuomo will bring an assessment team to figure out how the state can best help the islands recover from Hurricane Irma, which drove 150-mile-an-hour winds across St. Thomas and St. John. The islands are devastated and residents lack power...
