Carnegie "Opportunity by Design" Schools To Help Immigrant Students
 
Two new high schools will open in 2015 in Prince George’s County, Md., as part of Carnegie Corporation of New York's Opportunity by Design initiative, an effort to assist immigrant students who often struggle to keep up academically with their peers.
 
The Internationals Network for Public Schools along with CASA of Maryland--recipients of a $3 million grant from Carnegie--will accept 100 students at each of the schools, which aim to foster a college-going culture and decrease disproportionately high dropout rates among immigrant students...
