Carnegie, Helmsley Release Study On Building a Successful Transfer Program

​A new 60-page guidebook on effective transfer practices is geared to help two- and four-year institutions better serve students who often get stuck in the quagmire of process and policies.

Although almost every day a new articulation agreement is announced between a community college and university intended to ease the transition for transfer students, education researchers say many of the students still don’t succeed for myriad reasons, from misaligned credit transfers to failing to complete an associate degree before transferring.
